Wheelchair to Waves in 77 Days

On September 28, 2025, Scott Muir broke his neck in a surfing accident. Within a week, he was in a power wheelchair and diagnosed a C-6 Incomplete Quadriplegic. 3 ½ months later, he paddled back out into the ocean. He smiled and said:

“I didn’t stand on a surfboard YET. But I’ll commit to effort and attitude every single day.

In the spring of 2026, Scott stood on a surfboard again. Weeks later, he completed the 11-mile Loop Race.

One moment changed everything.
Resilience changed the rest.

The Yet Collective was founded by Scott's wife, Kristen, to share his experience and inspire others to keep moving forward, no matter what life brings. We continue to embrace each day with gratitude, believing every part of this life is a blessing.

From Stranger to Family…

When a Split-Second Rescue Transformed into a Lifelong Connection

The moment Scott Muir broke his neck, he was left face down in the ocean, unable to move. Seconds from death, teenage surfer Judah Ely reached for him. Today, Judah is family to the Muirs.

In the days that followed, headlines across the country shared fragments of the rescue story. People were moved by the kindness of a stranger saving a life. But beneath the news coverage, something much deeper was unfolding. Scott's wife, Kristen, is now sharing the full story of how three lives were fatefully intertwined—and how they continue to evolve.
